Manual lymphatic drainage is a form of complex physical decongestive therapy (CDT).
In contrast to conventional massage, manual lymphatic drainage uses a specific grip technique. Manual lymphatic drainage is used particularly after operations, tumor treatments and lymph node removal.
Manual lymphatic drainage is used for the following complaints:
- For edema (tissue fluid congestion)
- Post-operative / post-traumatic edema (bruising, sprains, dislocation, torn muscle fibers, fractures, lymph node removal, scars, etc.)
- For heavy legs
- for general detoxification
- for figure modeling
